Holiday EtsyFest

The Holiday EtsyFest is an Etsy wide sale on November 27 (my birthday and Thanksgiving) - December 1. There are a TON of Etsy shops participating and I am one of them. I'm still thinking hard about what my sale will be - but rest assured it will be worth your time to come do some shopping then.

And just in time for some promotions for this sale both of my shops were included in the same treasury for the Holiday EtsyFest! I'm flattered. In fact - it included two of my favorite items. It included my Green Goddess Yarn from Woolyhands and my Green Oribtal necklace from Idyllhands. Hoorah!Psst - if you want to be a part of this sale, and you do, go here to read about it: http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5903305

Treasury Sweetness

I've been quite blessed as far as Etsy goes during the past couple of weeks. I sold 7 necklaces while I was away on vacation (shall I travel more?) and am currently a part of three four treasuries. I truly am greatful for all of the wonderful people out there who showcase the works of art of other people. I've had trouble browsing the Etsy Treasuries this week due to so many of them being created recently. The first one I found was a BEAUTIFUL creation by DancingMooney:The same necklace was also featured in a treasury dedicated to birds created by boutikihut:
And then one of my bracelets was featured in a sea related treasury by sosorosey:
Over in Treasury West I found this little gem by ElegantIntentions:Just thought I'd share my bit of happiness this week.

15 Minutes of Fame

For a portion of this afternoon, I felt like a celebrity. No, not the kind who go to rehab before they are even old enough to legally drink, but the Etsy kind. A fellow member of AREtsy and my coworker, BeadedBombshell, let me in on a little secret this afternoon. One of my bracelets had made it to the front page.

WHAT? My bracelet? Front page?

In a moment of disbelief, I found myself fumbling across the keyboard to make it to the Etsy front page. There it was - Desert Oasis sitting on the front page amongst some beautiful items in an incredible treasury. The treasury was created by Zygopsyche and can be found HERE.

It is amazing how many views my little bracelet received and how many "hearts" both my shop and the bracelet took away from this experience.

Of course, the front page is short lived and life goes back to normal once the next fabulous page of goodies goes up, but it was fun while it lasted. And in case you don't believe me, see below for yourself!

They like me... they really like me

I love coming home after a long day and finding my jewelry featured in someone's treasury. This time I found my earrings in RUSSIAN Style Holidays by vaivanat. I was honored to be included in such a wonderful treasury and seeing this always makes me giddy.

Vaivanat is an Etsy artist who works with felt - no, not the kind of felt you pick up 5 squares for a $1 at the craft store, but she actually felts wool and creates amazing things from it. She does cozies, necklaces, bracelets/cuffs, bags, brooches, and earrings.

I'm very glad she featured me in a treasury as it has led me to her wonderful shop and now I just have to patiently wait until I make a couple of sales so I can go snatch up this bracelet (I'm disciplining myself to not buy anymore until I make another sale!).

This bracelet is my favorite from her shop if I was forced to just pick one favorite...

...but if I get two favorites, then I'm going to go with this necklace as well.

Tomorrow is an art bazaar by the Northwest Arkansas Community Creative Center at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios (say that one 3 times fast). I plan on making it out to support some amazing local artists and suggest anyone in the area do the same.

Bon nuit.
